FORUM CONDUCT - We do reccommend that all members who join be AT LEAST the age of 13. Roleplays and discussions have the potential to become relatively mature, though the Staff will monitor for anything excessive or uncouth. Please keep this in mind before introducing yourself to the community, our goal is to create an open and comfortable environment for all.
- Common courtesy for all is mandatory. The Staff will not allow any bashing, harassment, flaming or fight-baiting from its members. We encourage everyone to be civil and polite to one another. Should personal issues arise, please utilize the private messaging system. If anything were to get out of hand the Staff may intervene at their discretion to cease drama, bickering, or potential inflammatory situations.
- Tying in with the rule above, please refrain from vulgarity, angst or inappropriate content. Even though this forum is PG-13, there is a difference between healthy debates and discussions and hurtful talk and arguing. The latter will not be tolerated.
- Please mark all mature topics with a tag in the title, such as (M) or (Mature), thank you!
- Please leave the moderating to the Staff. While we may appreciate our members assisting each other with information or updated rules, the only people who may actually enforce rules or reprimand troublemakers are the Staff. If you do see a concern, please bring it to a Staff member's attention, we will address it.
- Respect the Staff. This should be a given, but we implore you to understand that the Staff are drawn to other responsibilities in life aside from the forum. We will always do our best to help others and keep the place running, but we'd truly appreciate patience and understanding.
- We expect all our members to operate within legal boundaries. No illegal activities will be allowed on this site, particularly theft. You may NOT steal another's work, whether it be literature, art, video content, etc. Anyone found utilizing another's work without their explicit permission will be dealt with promptly!
- Keep spam to a minimum. Aside from the Spambin, there is no reason to post otherwise pointless content. Your posts should have a purpose other than boosting your post count. If you absolutely need to bump a topic - where appropriate - please delete any prior bumps so as to keep the clutter to a minimum, thank you!

+ Official Staff postings (may only be bumped by Staff)

ROLEPLAY RULES Vemori is a Semi-fantasy, Semi-Literate to Advanced, Play-By-Post Roleplay Forum - Respect the rules of the area you are roleplaying in. While there are general guidelines here that apply across the forum, any rule with an asterisk (*) here may vary in different roleplay environments.
- Recognize this forum is still PG-13. Any excessively mature content may not be posted on the forum's boards. Any content that may be mature, but still appropriate for posting, we ask you tag as mature in the title somewhere.
- Please maintain proper grammar as best you can. While we recognize our members are at different levels of literacy, the main roleplay boards are still semi-literate and up. Significant lack of grammar can bring the Staff to ask you to either edit or remove your post, and encourage you to practice your writing before returning to the main boards.
- All posts must be at least 250 words or more in length. Online tools such as WordCounter or Word Count Tool may be useful if you're ever unsure.
- Neutral territories are neutral for a reason. Groups may gather as they please here, but we ask that they do not succeed 6 in number and refrain from acting like an official organization - no ranks, no enforcing their rules on others, no "claiming" territory. Everyone must feel welcome to roleplay in these free-for-all lands.
- * For the convenience of roleplaying, liquid-timing is permitted to an extent. We strongly discourage this in a situation where your character may be at risk of physical damage, as it'd warp roleplay timelines. Official territories may enforce this more strictly, if they desire.
- * All roleplay areas will be semi-consent unless otherwise agreed upon by all participants in the roleplay.
+ Consent: No damage may be dealt to another's character without that player's consent.
+ Semi-Consent: Damage may be dealt, but no fatal wounds/damage without consent.
+ No Consent: If fatal damage is dealt or fatal wounds inflicted, your character may die. - Absolutely NO: powerplaying, godmodding, metagaming, thrill-killing, or super-powers/features (outside the Vemori reality).
+ Powerplaying: Controlling another character without their consent.
+ Godmodding: Having an all-powerful or invincible character. No one is perfect or immune to the effects of damage; respect your character's mortality.
+ Metagaming: Using ooc knowledge as ic; unless your character gained this knowledge icly, they cannot know it.
+ Thrill-killing: Attacking a character with the intent of killing them with no logical ic reason, or with ooc reason.
FIGHTING SYSTEM The Vemori Forum will adopt the 3-Dodge system for roleplay fights. What this means is that should you find your character in a duel, battle, skirmish, etc., you may only dodge up to 3 consecutive attacks or before having to take damage. Once damage is taken, no matter how many dodges led up to it, the counter will reset and start over again. The Staff would like to discourage massive dodging in fights as it leads to frustration for other parties involved, and can become borderline powerplaying or godmodding. Instead, we hope you can find creative ways to engage in the fight, instead. Should any concerns arise in these situations, please don't hesitate to contact a Staff member for consult. |

- If you find any art or content from another person you'd like to use, you MUST obtain explicit permission from them to do so BEFORE bringing it here.
- Please mark a mature tag for any potentially mature content, thank you!
- Persistent begging others for art is unacceptable, and will be treated as harassment.
- Scamming is not tolerated here! All commission transactions must be legitimate and completed - inform the Staff on any major concerns that arise so we may address it as best we can!
